What Would it Take to Change the World?
Rotary’s 1.2 million members believe it starts with a commitment to Service Above Self.
In more than 34,000 clubs worldwide, you’ll find members volunteering in communities at home and abroad to support education and job training, provide clean water, combat hunger, improve health and sanitation, and eradicate Polio Eradication and so much more.
It’s hard for Rotarians to describe who we are and what we do, because we do so many things in our local communities and in the world around us. A simplified version of describing Rotary to others is to say, we are the community service club of the adult world. Rotarians are business, professional, and community leaders. We are comprised of women and men from over 200 countries in our world. Rotary is not affiliated with any political or religious organizations. We become Rotarians because we not only believe we can make a difference in our world, but do every day in our local and international communities. The mission of Rotary International is to provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace. In regards to Rotary Youth Exchange (RYE) our mission is to promote understanding and peace throughout the world and over 8,000 students do so every year as they participate as an RYE Student.
